The London Parks Benchmarking Group was established in 1999 by the London Borough of Newham in response to the requirements of Best Value. Membership of the group includes local authorities, private sector service providers, and educational establishments. Participating organisations commit themselves to hosting meetings that take place six times a year and bearing the associated costs, on a rotating basis.
The Benchmarking Group’s mission is to:
- identify, share, and promote best practice through process benchmarking
- share experiences, ensure best value and other improvement initiatives
- collect and share comparative data
- work collaboratively in an inclusive manner to improve service delivery
The above is with regard to parks, green spaces, grounds maintenance and other related services, on behalf of our member organisations, residents and visitors.
