Public Toilets in Parks

Public toilets have never been more in the public eye than now. Many facilities were closed under lockdown to stop the spread of Covid-19, they can now re-open (and a few London Councils have already done so) but the issues are complex, due to the health risks involved; though these may be weighed against the health risks posed by using parks as public toilets, which unfortunately we have been hearing reports of. We have just published guidance to help landowners and managers re-open them safely, for both staff and the public. You can read more here. We are grateful to all those who helped with information to produce this guidance.

Tony Leach, CE, was recently quoted in an article by TimeOut, on the subject of re-opening public toilets, which you can view here.
