Parks Participation and Communications Officer – Enable Culture and Leisure (London Borough of Wandsworth)
This role is a full time role within the Parks Development Team working to increase understanding of what visitors do and feel about, parks, commons and playgrounds, in the borough. The post holder will ensure that Enable remain responsive to the increasing demands of all users and be responsible for keeping them up to date, informed and engaged. Enable are looking for a team player who has strong self-motivation and the ability to work on personal initiative as well as in constructive collaboration with colleagues. Parks Officers (Battersea Park) x 2 posts- Enable Culture and Leisure (London Borough of Wandsworth)
These are part time posts (24 hours per week) within the Parks Development Team working alongside colleagues who specialise in horticulture and infrastructure, participation & communications, engagement and fundraising and playground development. Your role will be to assist them to deliver capital improvements across greenspaces and playgrounds. You will work to ensure that Enable understand the specific demands of all users at agreed locations and provide a sympathetic and functional response to these needs. The applicant should be a team player, with strong self-motivation and the ability to work on personal initiative as well as in constructive collaboration with colleagues. You will have experience in communication and consultations, particularly with families and children, and / or managing capital delivery projects using local authority procurement processes. Parks Development Manager – Vision Redbridge – Culture and Leisure
This is a six month temporary contract, salary range £37,863 – £39,390 a year. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, innovative and proven leader to shape the future development and delivery of parks within Redbridge. The applicant must be degree qualified or of equivalent competence and should be an innovative, adaptable and confident leader, with a proven track record in the management of parks, grounds maintenance, allotments and open spaces. This is a high profile role, which requires an individual with a good understanding of parks and open spaces practices and the skills to drive change through innovation and partnership working.
