We were delighted to announce the launch the Parks for Health Assessment Toolkit at a joint event, with Tisdall Associates, today (16th May 2019) at Ruskin Park, in Lambeth. The Toolkit has been developed by Tisdall Associates, with support from Parks for London; it is part of Tisdall Associates “Health Parks” initiative, putting parks and green spaces in the context of primary prevention, as major assets to be developed and valued and used more effectively to promote many considerable health and well being benefits – and so in turn help to create vibrant and healthy communities. You can find out much more about Health Parks in our press release below and at the Tisdall Associates website here. If you want to find out how your park can make a difference to the health of your community you can use their free on-line survey, so why not TAKE ACTION now!
We would like to thank the Friends of Ruskin Park and Lambeth Council for hosting the event at Ruskin Park (where the Toolkit has already been trialled) and for all their help in setting up the launch event; we would also like to thank Tisdall Associates for kindly sponsoring the lunch and refreshments.
Today at the Bandstand at Ruskin Park, speaking at the launch were: Richard Tisdall (Tisdall Associates), Tony Leach (CE, Parks for London) and Lucy Hadfield (Chair, Friends of Ruskin Park)
